Please note that following the committee meeting held this morning (30th May 2020) all junior members under 16 must now be accompanied by an adult when fishing Stanton Waters.
This is to comply with the terms of our insurance and current child protection legislation. Junior books are now available again, with the understanding that the member will be supervised by a responsible adult aged over 18.
There is fishing match on Stanton Canal on Sunday 31st May. Please note that pleasure fishing is unavailable before 4pm.
Stanton Fishing Club Waters are set to reopen on Wednesday 13th May. The car park will be open from 8am with a strict distancing rule of 2 meters between parked cars. All official pegs will be available to fish on Club Waters
With regard to Stock Pond (the middle stretch of the canal between the waterfall and the bridge) only permanent pegs along the towpath are to be fished.
Anglers must be in possession of the new Stanton Membership book (or proof of purchase from local tackle shops) and a current Rod Licence. These will be checked by Club Bailiffs so please have them to hand. New books will be available to purchase on Wednesday morning in the car park. Please have the correct money to avoid unnecessary contact – £25 adult, £20 concession.
Keep nets are banned for the foreseeable future.
Please abide by social distancing rules at all times. Stay safe and enjoy!
